Your Typical Genuine Do-Gooder

This is a list that Scott, one of my 1978 alumni, responded with when I sent a call out to selected alumni to tell me how they do good:

  • Decorate my home on Halloween extensively for the fun and joy of the local children.
  • Serve as member of the New York Blood Bank Gallon Club.
  • Headed various committees for Rotary club over the 10 years.
  • Served on board and as president of the local Independent Insurance Agents Association.
  • Served on the State board of the IIAA of New York.
  • Served as President of the local Rotary Club, organization of doing good.
  • Served as board member the Rockland Council for Young Children.
  • Served as board member Rockland Community College Foundation.
  • Served as Co-Chairman of Build Nanuet Highview Wooden Playground, an undertaking which we did with the help of Bob Leathers Architect firm. This project was both doing good and fun.
  • Served on the counting committee of my church.
  • Serve as an usher once a month in my church.
  • Donate my employees time, with their consent, to deliver Meals on Wheels once a month.
  • Served as Board Member of the United Way of Rockland County.
  • Served as Board member of the Rockland Community Collage Foundation.
  • Graduated from the Leadership Rockland Program.
  • Served as Vice President of the Board of the Meals on Wheels of Rockland County.
  • Served on the advisory board of St.. Thomas Aquinas College.
