Do-Good Society

Start a DGS Chapter

You can start your own local chapter of the Do Good Society for your community, school, place of employment, or non-profit organization.

To start your own chapter, you need to do the following:

  1. Read the Do Good Society Charter (click here)

  2. E-mail me at wdcoplin@syr.edu, describing your location and when and where you plan to have your first meeting. I will e-mail back an official chapter number and register you.

  3. Once I give you the official chapter number, download and print out the nomination form so you can get recruit individuals who will nominate members into the Do Good Society.

The nomination form is available in either Adobe Acrobat PDF format or Microsoft Word format. Click one below to download the form.

  4. Have your first meeting and let me know how it goes! After your meeting, send a list of your nominees and their stories. If you and they feel comfortable, also send me their names and e-mail addresses so I can make them aware of the developments of the Do Good Society. These names and addresses will not be released to anyone else.

If you need to talk to me directly, e-mail me with your phone number and when to call you.
